This is primarily due to technological and organisational changes and disruptive events over long time. Therefore, information future-proofing considerations are required to be incorporated in order to sustain the assets. However, even though companies consider some aspects but largely mechanisms for information fiiture-proofing assessments are not fully known. As part of the information future-proofing research conducted at CSIC ; what, why and how characteristics of information future-proofing were explored through a number of semi-structured interviews and workshops with leading companies dealing with infrastructure assets. This paper presents an information future-proofing assessment approach as an output of the CSIC future-proofing research. The information future-proofing assessment approach was applied in case studies of Hertfordshire County Council bridges and structures. University of Cambridge department building, Crossrail tunnels and pumps, and London Underground infrastructure.
