Abstract

© 2016 IEEE. This paper reports a level-based circuit topology as a frequency deviation detector front-end circuit for micromachined resonant sensors. Circuit-level compensation of temperature-induced variations in the frequency output is addressed. The power consumption of the implemented CMOS circuit is approximately 480nW. This low power low phase-error front-end interface is beneficial in applications such as distributed wireless sensor nodes where continuous power dissipation of the sensors must be minimized.
