Abstract

© (2016) by SID-the Society for Information Display. All rights reserved. A force sensing technique is presented for capacitive touch panels. By measuring force induced stress, force touch can be detected even when the panel deflection is very small In addition to that, image based down-sampling methods are proposed to reduce power consumption and boost readout speed of touch panel.
