Abstract

© 2016 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim. There is considerable interest in the design and development of conjugated polymers for interfacing a variety of electronic biomedical devices. These materials are able to accommodate both electronic and ionic transport. We discuss some of the issues associated with these materials, and consider opportunities for future developments.
